Since 1974, Howard Brown Health has been focused on providing uncompromising, personal care for a marginalized community. With a mission that important, it’s not surprising that concerns like brand identity and web presence had taken a back seat. It was now time for a fresh start. When Howard Brown Health approached us to reimagine their brand, marketing strategy and digital experience, we jumped at the chance to help.
Howard Brown wanted to modernize their brand identity while staying true to the ideals they’ve held for over 40 years. In a space where trust is paramount, we aimed to create an identity that would garner increased awareness, strengthen bonds with the community, and drive engagement with HBH clinics and digital tools.
DK and Howard Brown developed a multi-tiered plan to permeate across all extensions of their brand. We began by creating a brand system built upon a new logo and custom pattern sets, along with a library of original photography that captures the spirit of Howard Brown Health. From that system, we extended the new brand identity into digital, to on premise, to collateral, annual report design and out-of-home marketing.
To ensure that quality and consistency are maintained as the organization grows, we created a robust toolkit and brand guidelines for their internal use.
